Davison Airfield Steam Decentralization

Description: The project required decentralizing the site heating provided by a central boiler plant by building individual hot water boiler plants serving Davison Airfield of Fort Belvoir.

We then designed the replacement of the existing steam system with a new hot water system containing high efficiency type, gas fired boilers, pumps with variable frequency devices, new air handling units, heating and ventilation units, humidifiers, hot water unit heaters, electric and gas fired unit heaters, hot water convectors, fin tube radiators, and DDC controls.
